Pastoral Care at iBOS
At iBOS, our entire staff is dedicated to collaborating with each student to provide essential support and guidance, fostering an environment where every child can achieve their full potential. Our commitment is to ensure that every student feels secure and receives the necessary support. iBOS boasts a specialized Pastoral system designed to maintain continuous oversight of your child’s social, personal, and academic development.
Guided by Mr. F Jaumbocus, Vice Principal, our Pastoral Team comprises form tutors and SLT members who are committed to providing care to our student body. Daily meetings are conducted to strategize support initiatives, addressing both academic progress and emotional well-being. Form tutors and pastoral support staff are equipped to handle any incidents promptly, facilitating swift and effective resolution through investigation.
Each student is assigned to a dedicated tutor, and every house is overseen by a member of the Senior Leadership Team. Form tutors cultivate a deep understanding and detailed knowledge of each student’s personality and capabilities. The pastoral system plays a crucial role in supporting students by promoting good attendance, ensuring the implementation of behaviour sanctions and support, addressing mental health concerns, and providing assistance in situations involving challenges at home. Importantly, each staff member at iBOS undergoes safeguarding training and handles safeguarding concerns as they arise.
